DIY in pitchas, 7QT, Volume 49

*1*
Truly quick quick takes: The fun DIYs I've discovered recently, in pictures!

This lovely lady made her wedding dress out of vintage curtains!

*2*

Homemade laundry detergent: $6.00 for 576 loads. Uh, yes please.

*3*

DIY decoupage, just in time for Christmas crafting!

*4*

Step-by-step how to install under-the-sink shelves. It's enough to make me want to clean...

*5*

Closet dividers made from old CDs. Wow, this is like chocolate for my OCD palette. Not only do I have a use for those old CDs, but I can organize my closet again and again!

*6*

Want the light in the background of a depth-of-field photo to appear in shapes? DIY it! For the non-photogs out there, the contraption that makes this possible is called a bokeh.

*7*

Vinegar runs at about $1 for a gallon. That squashes any competition for chemical cleaners and now you have a list of 45 uses for the cheaper alternative. No brainer, PLUS you can pretend you are your grandmother as you clean everything you can find with vinegar.

Oh, so much to comment on! That wedding dress is to die for. How gorgeous! My wedding dress had a sash that color, but as much as I loved my wedding dress, I adore that one.

And homemade laundry detergent? I will have to check that out...because I'm already using vinegar--and baking soda--and I LOVE it. Especially since I'm pregnant; it's so nice to clean without worrying about what I'm inhaling or getting on my skin, or whatever. I wrote all about it here: http://bit.ly/osloBc

All of that is amazing! But the wedding dress is interesting because last night I was running around my house telling my roommates that the curtains we have in our house would make a good wedding veil! HA!! They look a lot like the dress...funny funny. Have a great one! :)

I made my own laundry detergent this summer and I love it. I followed The Duggar recipe (the people from the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting). It made 10 gallons for about $2.00. They also have a fabric softener that I haven't tried yet but definitely need to. Also, I love vinegar!! It stinks but man it cleans!

Also, that dress is beautiful! Add another reason why I need to learn how to sew! I love this whole post, it's like my you took my Pinterest page and made it into a post. :)

A great face cleanser is baking soda and water, just make a paste, smear on (careful not to run too much, it's really exfoliating), let sit for about a minute (I let it get kind of dry) and then rinse!! Follow with a toner of lemon juice or witch-hazel, moisturize with olive oil! I do this a couple of times a week and my skin has NEVER been clearer. This has replaced ALL my expensive acne treatments.
