hahahaha I love it! I just heard a grocery store radio ad about pierogies and "other foods perfect for Lent." And Whole Foods had all fish chowders at their soup station.

I dunno abt those jalepenos though.

I got a good hearty laugh out of this post! Thank you for that!
I do love all the Lenten specials. It makes me happy to see businesses catering to Catholics in SOME kind of way, even though I realize it's about the bottom line for them. I don't think I'll be trying that sub, though, much as I love jalapenos. :)

Our Subway has the tuna as their meal deal on Fridays. So funny.

And yeah, this is "the time of year" that people seem to eat a lot of fish. People here in Colorado (with absolutely no first-hand knowledge of the fishing industry) must just think this is the time of year that all the fish are "in season." I wonder if anyone who isn't Catholic even equates it with Lent anymore....

The jalepenos are what makes it really Catholic.

That doesn't really make sense, I just think the added touch of the jalapenos are really funny. Haha.
